Solomon Kane: Castle of the Devil v. 1
Looks like Monday is the day for everyone to save a huge amount on Guitar Hero. The game for all the current gen systems is over half off ($100 savings) with the PS2 being $90 off. We really don’t need to say its a steal as you should already know that but if not… here is Heidi all excited for the bundle…

The turtles are back with 2 new games coming soon to the Wii and XBLA and to shellabrate we are bringing the largest collection of TMNT wallpapers ever!
There are so many that the next largest collection that we have is almost half the size of this one. So if you like Casey, April, Shredder or even the Dark Turtles… we are the place for all your turtle needs.
Fighter’s Generation is reporting (based on the Famitsu mag) that a new Toshinden game is in the works this time for the Nintendo Wii rather than for Sony’s line-up. Dream Factory (Ehrgeiz) will be working on the game. The artwork looks good… so lets hope that the game is too.
We busted Ghosts last week on the Wii… now it’s time to go crush an alien invasion!
It feels like it has been years since the last great Wii game but the wait is over as The Conduit released this week (get it at TRU and get 60% OFF a select second game)!
Whatcha gonna do… whatcha gonna do when Casey comes for you?
New trailer to the upcoming Wii game TMNT Smash-up. This time you get to meet 4 of the characters that make up the roster in this game. Lucky for us, Casey Jones is one of them. Unlucky for you, Casey Jones is one of them…
Where Spider-man Noir was a Superhero origin story set in a dark and gritty Dick Tracy-like world, X-Men Noir is a pure crime/mystery story set in the real world with the characters just a shadow of themselves…
X-Men Noir takes place in a very real world. Missing are the over-the-top villains and the sense of hope that were found in Spider-man Noir. You are thrust right into the story, with the death of one of the X-Men. No origin story here… just pure straight up crime/mystery fiction. Many of the characters stay true to their original selves yet with a very gritty and realistic twist to each of them. Not to give anything away but it’s very much a “The Brotherhood vs The X-Men” story so you will see the familiar faces like Magneto, Quicksilver, Wolverine, Cyclops and the other original X-Men. The one main flaw… X-Men Noir just has too many characters in it that very few of them actually ever get fleshed out. Unless you know your X-Men and their vast history, you will find it hard to truly know the characters that are set before you. Oddly enough, Wolverine is an afterthought in the story.
The art is very good and almost reflects a very Jae Lee (Dark Tower) look to it at times. Unfortunately that is also its downfall as some of the characters become hard to distinguish as they do not wear their “colorful” costumes but instead the trench coats and suits of the time period. Coupled with the fact that there are probably 20 X-Men (and 1 Golden Age) characters in the book, you can find yourself lost and unsure who is getting shot or beat up by who (or was that another character they just introduced?!?). Not good for what one would call a visual crime/mystery novel where keeping up with what is going on is a priority.
All in all, the X-Men Noir world has some promise and is worth taking a look into if you are a diehard X-Men fan or love crime/mystery novels. Don’t come expecting “super-heroics” as the only way anyone is heroic during these times is with a pair of fists and/or a gun. With that said, it is nice seeing someone’s realistic take on the X-Men, as if they were NOT mutants and living in the 1930’s, so it will be interesting to see where this story goes from here.

It’s your sandbox… do what you want with it! But this time its only $10!
When someone talks about games that allow you to play in a sandbox, Fracture adds a whole different meaning to it as you actually play in a world that you can manipulate. With different weapons at your disposal, you are able to shape the terrain to what you need (think Red Faction but with far less demolition). Need some cover? like sinkholes? maybe you want to have a pillar come shooting out of the ground? Its all here and looks good in action. Sure the story is so-so but for $10 it’s a game you should cave-in and get (yes bad pun and all)!
Luckily the “In the end there can be only one” does hold true to this collection of wallpapers as it is the only collection you will need.
We have taken on everyone, beheaded them, and gathered their knowledge (and wallpapers) to bring you the best from around the internet. As you will notice, we have a hidden love for all things Oeming (not too mention the Highlander comics from Dynamite!) and will be profiling some of his amazing work (that you may have missed) so keep checking back for more!
